City University of Hong Kong, or CityU for short, was founded in 1984, formerly known as the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong, and was upgraded to City University of Hong Kong in 1994. Each year, CityU offers about 130 high-quality undergraduate and research degree courses of different levels and majors to about 20000 students. Technology	Generally, the speed sensor is used to detect the speed of the electric engine, but the speed sensor will affect the reliability of the engine drive system. However, with the exception of speed sensors, few detection devices can generate readings when the engine is driven in the rest mode. The invention overcomes the above problems by sampling the instantaneous current of the engine to obtain the change rate of the current. Then the instantaneous speed of the engine can be calculated according to the known conversion state of the converter and the parameters of the engine at various speeds (including zero speed). The resulting engine speed reading is instantaneous, regardless of the engine speed.
