According to the index, Zhejiang Province ranked first in China with 88.51 points, while Beijing and Guangdong Province ranked second and third with 88.06 points and 87.95 points respectively.

In order to comprehensively evaluate the current situation of trademark brand development in all provinces (cities and districts), find out the problems in the process of trademark brand development in China, and summarize the characteristics and experience of trademark brand construction in each province (city, district), in early 2020, the intellectual property utilization Promotion Department of the State Intellectual Property Office guided the compilation of the China Trademark Association's start-up index.
It is reported that the index includes five first level indicators, including "brand scale construction", "brand quality improvement", "brand potential mining", "brand benefit realization" and "brand policy support", as well as 12 secondary indicators and 30 third level indicators, with a total of 47 indicators.
The index shows that the overall situation of the development of trademark brand in China is good, and the development of trademark brand has formed a benign competition, but the regional differences are significant. The eastern, central and western regions show a ladder like distribution in the development of trademark brands. The eastern provinces pay more attention to and invest in the development of brand names, and from the score point of view, the top provinces are mostly in the eastern coastal developed areas. The trademark brand index of the provinces in the central region is closely followed by the provinces in the western region.
